Born and raised in Barbados, Tonya discovered her creative spark early, turning her childhood home into a space for artistic exploration. She pursued formal training with a BFA in Painting from Wimbledon School of Art in London, then returned home to teach and exhibit her work locally and internationally. After pausing her art career to move to Toronto to raise a family, she experienced a decade of reflection that deepened her appreciation for creativity. Now, with renewed purpose, Tonya is re-emerging in her practice, passionate about inspiring others to find beauty and gratitude in their surroundings. Her journey is one of transformation, faith, and rediscovered artistic joy.
