Tanya Fenkell is a Canadian textile artist, watercolour painter, and writer inspired by our deep connection with nature. Tanya works in watercolour and textiles using birch bark and found metal. Tanya’s creative development has included study, practice, and teaching of various arts and fibre-related crafts. She is an instructor at Loyalist College’s Summer Arts program. Tanya’s love of all things literary manifests in her poetry, which has been published in various journals and collected in her chapbook, Torrent. She holds a BA in English Literature from McGill University, an MA in English and an MIS from the University of Toronto. Tanya exhibits her art regularly throughout Ontario and her work is held in private collections in Canada, the US, and the UK.
