PH1 Studios is a collaborative project that fuses together the ancient artistry of encaustic painting with contemporary photography. Artists; Melissa Espina & Pietro Gallo, study the back and forth relationship between photography and wax by embracing the sculptural elements of encaustic while invoking ideas of memory and nostalgia.
