Neltje Green

Montreal, ON

Booth 509

Main

Montreal-based multimedia artist and designer Neltje (Nel) Green explores the intersection of memory, architecture, and materiality. A recent graduate of Concordia University’s Design program, her work examines how built environments shape emotional landscapes and perceptions of time through painting, printmaking, and design. Transforming familiar spaces into introspective, altered landscapes, Nel’s work blurs the boundaries between personal and collective memory. Architectural spaces become vessels for remembrance, whether a former home, an imagined site, or a place shaped by shared experience. Through reconstruction and abstraction, she investigates how places are archived, distorted, and reinterpreted over time. Neltje has exhibited at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and recently presented a solo exhibition at United Contemporary. Her work invites viewers to reflect on the evolving relationship between self, memory, and environment.
