Hello, and welcome to my art. I create dynamic pieces rich in texture and spontaneity using acrylics, mark-making tools, layered papers, and collages. My studio is a chaotic mix of papers and notes—a vibrant space that serves as the foundation for my art. Each element contributes to my creative process, shaped by a series of 'I wonder what' and 'I wonder if' questions and a 'why not?' approach. My art celebrates curiosity and experimentation, inviting you to explore your stories through my distinct work. My paintings are alive with shapes and colors that dance across the surface, creating a poetry of movement and song. I embrace diversity in my work, from florals and landscapes to urban grunge and expressive abstracts that are honest, fearless, and always lead from the heart. My process involves layering paint, collage, and even more paint—creating layers rich with colors, shapes, and designs that are scraped, sanded, scratched, and dug into, revealing and leaving bits of the past. Every layer tells a story that blends history with the final design, resulting in a surface that is full of texture. The beauty lies in the discovery—the rich surfaces and hidden bits that can only be seen by getting close, exploring its secrets, and finding your own story within. I look forward to sharing my world of creativity and art, my journey of discovery, and the excitement of color, texture, and history. I hope to meet you at the Show, so please drop by and say hi. It is my greatest pleasure to share my art and passion for creating. My art can be found at the Petroff Gallery in Toronto, the Mountainside Gallery in Collingwood, the Westland Gallery in London, the Maud Gallery in Edmonton, and the PWD Gallery in Kitchener. Thanks for stopping by; I look forward to meeting you at the show.
