Millie Chen is a Chinese Canadian painter known for her dreamy and whimsical style. Upon graduating OCAD University with a Bachelor in Industrial Design and a minor in Jewellery & Metal-smithing, Millie fell back in love with the rhythm of traditional fine art mediums. She pictures vivid scenes of well-loved landscapes from childhood, fantasies and outer space, while drawing inspirations from books and movies to create a finely curated dish of a new world. A canvas is Millie's opportunity to dive into a new world, completely familiar and unfamiliar, like the feeling when you get a deja vu. The split second when fiction morphs into reality is the chase Millie continues enjoy as she continues to evolve her art and craft career.
