Michelle Eissler

Alliston, ON

Booth 402

Main

Michelle Eissler is a contemporary surrealist from Alliston, Ontario, whose oil paintings are rooted in the exploration of semi-abstracted reality and fragmented distortion. Michelle holds a degree in Art & Art History from the University of Toronto and is a graduate of Sheridan College’s Interpretive Illustration program. Michelle’s studio is located in the historic Alton Mill Arts Centre in Alton, Ontario, where she develops her intuitive compositions of interwoven imagery. These layered arrangements are created using a process of drawing and constructive overlapping of shapes and forms to create movement and visual environments. Her work challenges the notion of static reality, often blurring the lines between objectivity and inner perception, and invites interpretation of shape and narrative. Michelle has exhibited across Ontario at respected venues such as the McMichael Art Gallery, Mississauga Civic Centre Art Gallery, Peel Art Gallery, Quest Gallery, and the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, and is a member of the Ontario Society of Artists.
