Marina Van Raay is a Canadian and Japanese ceramic artist based in Hamilton, Ontario. She is a recent graduate of the Craft and Design Bachelor’s program at Sheridan College. Marina gained a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and artistic expression through her father who grew up in an artistic family. Introduced to ceramics in 2016 by her father, Marina has shared a passion for clay with him since then. Marina was born in Japan and moved to Canada at the age of 5 and through her work, explores the cultural experiences that have shaped her life.
