Lori Ryerson

Toronto, Ontario

Booth 426

Main

Lori Ryerson is a Toronto-based contemporary art photographer. With her "Boundaries Reimagined" collection Lori has married the influences of women like Georgia O’Keeffe and Judy Chicago to the concept of hard edged abstractionists like Hilma af Klint and Rita Letendre. The basis for these images came from the gardens of Lori’s neighbourhood, as seen by her on daily walks, originally during the pandemic shutdowns, and continuing as she finds new subjects. These garden images were ultimately distilled down and abstracted into their basic elements of colours and shapes. Lori is a juried member of both the Ontario Society of Artists (Canada’s longest continuous running art society) and the Society of Canadian Artists. Her works can be found in private and corporate collections in Canada and the US.
