Liam Reynolds (b.2000) is a self-taught visionary artist and art curator based in Canada. "Motivated by a deep devotion to the creative act, my work explores rebellion and humor through an autobiographical and abstracted lens. I create emotionally resonant and psychologically charged scenes, often merging the conventions of illustration and pop imagery with global mythopoetic and historical allegory. I lean into the inherent political implications of the tradition of painting — resisting hyper-concise narratives, instead alchemizing contemporary civil unrest into paintings that balance satire, contempt. and absurdity."
