I synthesize analogue drawing from plein air with digital and paint to create a unique response to how nature makes me feel, transformed as if in another world. As well other important influences that affect me include reading poetry, philosophy and science (biology and quantum physics). My work,is an intuitive response with no set plan, whatever comes to me, it is all a play with form, line and colour, as I explore how I feel. Overall my works are an expression of the beauty I find in learning and its ability to expand our knowledge and awareness of self. I also learned recently about the Seventh Generation rule in Celtic culture which is my heritage and the importance of leaving enough. in nature for others to follow. Sadly our treatment of pollinators and plants that they feed off including trees has caused them to be endangered or extinct. So when creating I am calling for our reclaiming the beauty in those interconnections and consider how we are protecting our seven generations. This new series is entitled "Holding UP the World."
