Inspired by patterns found in nature, in architecture and on bathroom floors, self-taught, Kitchener-based artist, Kat Hernden, creates geometric works of art using acrylics and embroidery thread on canvas. The hard edged painting style is softened and imbued with imperceptible imperfections lent to the painting by the hand embroidery.
