Justine Eva Smith is a multidisciplinary artist based in Hamilton, Ontario. Working primarily in painting and drawing, Smith focuses on portraiture creating paintings that explore human expression, loneliness and the complexity of being seen. Trained in Integrated Media and Drawing & Painting at OCAD University and Visual Arts at Sheridan College, Smith also works with sound, video, and installation, creating connections between visual and time-based media. Music also remains part of Justine’s broader practice, including the recent release of an album with Rolemodels. Smith’s work has been exhibited widely across Hamilton and Toronto, including at Earls Court Gallery, Hamilton Artists Inc., The Cotton Factory, and Red Head Gallery.
