Evolving from her Ground series, this Rain collection is a collaboration with falling water, painted in and with drizzles and downpours. Oscillating between surrender and intention, there is a rhythm between the hand and sky. A deluge or sprinkle of droplets meet gestural strokes and intuitive markings, translating both physical and emotional currents onto canvas. Using inks made from mineral pigments, natural materials, as well as watercolour sticks and mixed media, realms of colour yield to the rain while dancing in flow amidst it. The friction between chance and control within each piece cradles the unknown lightly and with an open hand.
