Jemma Chapman is the artist behind the accessible art project Toonie Stamps. Created to encourage people to explore Toronto and designed to facilitate people's access to affordable art, this project captures everything that’s important to Jemma as a creative. Pieces from this project are inspired by Jemma’s lived expierence of Canada as a newcomer. She uses this project to document her memories of life in Canada and to highlight all the wonderful things she has found here. Sharing her designs and the stories that inspired them on her social media. Through converted vending machines dotted around the city, Jemma facilitates people with the opportunity to get involved with the project while accessing her two-dollar prints. With the installation of each machine, Jemma develops local area maps aimed at highlighting local, independent, and community establishments within these neighbourhoods to help people explore the city and expierence all the great things about Toronto that Jemma herself has learnt during her time here. Jemma will be attending the Artist Project with one of her interactive vending machines stocked with her favourite prints.
