Jahn Page is a Hamilton-based artist and the 2023 recipient of the DeSerres Prize for Painting. At this year’s Artist Project, he is exclusively showcasing the Okay Bouquet series—a body of work dedicated to bringing radiant color and positive imagery into the world through fine art originals and prints. The series represents the latest evolution of Page’s "Positive Gestures": dynamic, hand-built shaped canvases that bridge the gap between the painted image and the built object. Inspired by his tenure as a flower delivery driver, the work translates the fleeting nature of floral tributes into permanent, textured reliefs and vivid imagery. Through his practice, Page celebrates the labor of the build to create tactile "objects of joy" that brighten the everyday spaces we inhabit.
