Esther Slevinsky is a multi-disiplinary artist based in Waterloo, Ontario. In 2006 she graduated from ACAD with a Bdes in Graphic Design and Illustration, and worked as a muralist for two decades before transitioning to painting on canvas. Her work explores our connection to food and it’s many purposes: to celebrate, comfort, nourish, express love, reflect culture or tradition, as luxury, or as waste. Inspired by Medieval painting, Esther employs characteristics of Medieval depth in her work with oddly spaced objects and tipped surfaces.
