Eleanor Lowden is inspired by her daily life, and paints her life from a happy point of view. She works with multiple series; umbrellas, country roads, spring flowers, and figures. She is known for her signature colour palette, mark-making using stencils, and layering her colours so that they glow. Her work tells a story, with meaning and joy. She works from her home studio in Toronto, and her paintings are carried by a number of galleries across Canada.
