Chelsea Brant (she/her) is a Mohawk/German multidisciplinary artist and independent curator who holds a BFA from the University of Guelph, ON and an MFA from the University of Saskatchewan, SK. Brant has exhibited locally, nationally, and internationally and curated and co-curated multiple exhibitions within Canada. She has worked in several programming, curatorial and administrative roles within the arts and is currently teaching arts at varied Post-Secondary Institutions across Ontario. Her work reflects on and engages with lived-experiences, vicarious recounters, intimate moments and memory, using both collective and reductive collage techniques. Her primary medium is paint, where she works to creatively push the boundaries of paintings potential; experimenting with form, format and expression.
