Born in Toronto and currently living and working from her home studio in Oakville, Barb TenEycke is a self-taught painter with a deep reverence for the diverse landscapes of Ontario. She has been a full-time artist since 2013, making the transition after a twenty-plus-year career in home decorating and design—an experience that continues to inform her sense of composition, colour, and atmosphere. Her focus is on creating works that convey calm, excitement, and emotional resonance. Through landscapes, both real and imagined, she seeks to infuse each painting with ethereal light, depth, and a quiet sense of hope.
