Amélie Vallières is a Québec-based oil painter exploring feminine power, inherited memory, and the beauty of imperfection. Her work blends classical portrait techniques (luminous, carefully rendered eyes) with raw, instinctive mark-making that resists control. The female gaze is precise. The rest lets go. Presented at Artist Project 2026, Divine Outcast reimagines saints, sinners, muses, and mythic women through a contemporary feminist lens. They are not passive.
