A Hollywood Location Scout’s Point of View Captured in Large Format Photography Adam left high school in his late teens. Passionate about travel and adventure, he hit the road, leaving his home in Toronto, Canada, behind. Living out of the back of an old station wagon, he spent years honing his photography talents, shooting across the Hawaiian Islands and the Colorado Rockies. An early apprentice to the now renowned Canadian Photographer Deborah Samuel, by and large, Adam is self-taught.. Wanderlust and The Camera Part of the art of scouting is the hunt. Once the perfect location is found, location photography and video are the gateways to showcasing what is possible for a director’s desired scenes. Adam has scouted it all – the wildest backcountry to the grittiest urban settings and architecturally unique residential locations. Through his discoveries, Adam’s landscape photography is where his artistic expression lies in the rawest form. Moonlighting as an Artist While on assignment in some of Earth’s most arresting places, Adam captured the moments that most moved his spirit. The fruit of all that work is now presented as a portfolio of Adam's years scouting on the road. The Journey to Hollywood It was the allure of Hollywood that drove Adam to establish himself in California as a location scout. He has since wandered the US, Canada and beyond on assignment, working with prominent directors. Getting his start with Quentin Tarantino for “Pulp Fiction” and “Django Unchained,” Alejandro González Iñárritu for “The Revenant,” Adam also worked with various TV and commercial directors to scout for hundreds of international commercials. Recently, Adam scouted the Canadian Rockies for Guillermo del Toro in collaboration with a global team for the 2025 remake of “Frankenstein.” From Film Locations to Landscape Photography Now available for others to enjoy and own, Adam’s collections offer a unique perspective that instills a feeling of discovery in the viewer.
